Hi Guys,

Finaly a discussion that I know something about, I severed my
apprenticeship as a generator engineer.

As already mentioned, to ensure you have un-interupted supply you
will need a UPS to kick in while the gennie warms up (around 15
minutes).

A suitable automatic controller can be obtained from Deep Sea
electronics,

http://www.deepseaplc.com/

This will do EVERYTHING that you can think of with the gennie, and
more! Best of all, it can be rs-232 controlled/monitored, and will
automatically change over in the event of power failure.

Hope this helps.

Regards
Stuart
