Good idea

Well the hose is about 2-3 metres long, it comes out of the base of the
internal unit and passes into the top of the external unit. So for example
I
have my internal unit on the floor by the window, the window is about 1m
from the floor, and the wall is about 60cm thick. So I can locate my
external unit about 1m below the window. According to the instructions
there
can be up to 1.5m vertical difference between the placement of the two
units.

It must be installed vertically to prevent 'leakage' according to the
instructions.
