It a bit late on the bandwagon, but its just too hot in my home office and

thought I might go on a shopping trip to Homebase.......
With the split units.
How far can it be located from the inside unit ?
Does the outside unit need to be located on a vertical surface or can it be
mounted on a pitched roof?
