Big one that most folk miss is the fridge freezer, if it's frost-free it
runs 80% of the time it's connected and some can be really, really sore
on the juice.

Washers don't use too much, but dryers are like little gems for stealing
power and raising your bills. Dishwashers are not too bad either now,
but older ones can be really sore as well, it also depends on how you
use all the above.

I run a few PCs 24/7 at home and have just got the Electricity bill. It
is
up =A340 since the last one and I was wondering if it was the extra PC? I
generally turn off the monitors when not in use. I know that the biggest
drains are Immersion Heaters, Washer dryers (ours has been broke for the
last month!) , electric showers (not installed yet!) and cookers. SWMBO
is
starting to ask questions about the PCs. I need some ammo!! What power
comsumption would the average PC have?
