No ... last time I was given the option of resigning or being dismissed for
gross misconduct. (My gross misconduct being that I checked a spreadsheet
before someone handed it in to their manager - go figure!) This time
they've
actually decided to make me redundant.
Basically my boss leaked to the company gossip why I was resigning last
time
so that - in their thoughts - I couldn't spin a line as to why I was
leaving. It backfired in that they had a lot of murmurings as to "Is
that
it?" and so after about half of my notice they asked me to stay on -
now,
two months later they've decided to make me redundant. I'm assuming it's
just them completing their plans to get shot of me as they pay me
substantially more than the current people that they recruit for my level
of
position.
