This is exactly one of the things I've been thinking of! - I do have a TV
in
just about every room, but obviously at any given time may be switched off,
and therefore not useable for HA feedback... In these situations, I
currently just have to make do with TTS announcements, but obviously that
can't tell me WHO's at the door!

Hmmm... I'm still thinking of getting a pocket TV and using the videosender
method to broadcast the HA PC around the house, - then I can wander around
with the TV (down the garden for instance), and I can continue to use it as
a normal pocket TV... - admittedly some displays will be totally unuseable
on such a small screen, - as Keith says, most elements of a PC display will
be too small... but I reckon it should be OK for a camera feed, so I can
tell who's at my front door when I'm at the end of the garden! :-)
