A plasterboard panel is typically 1200mm wide, so you'd actually need 18 to
run all the way round. The high ceilings mean you should probably double
that, since realistically you'll be putting two 2400mm panels above each
other and not be able to reuse the wastage on the one you cut short. So 36
panels at =A35.45 is about =A3200+vat.
Allow about 50% again for the battening and fixings, so say =A3300+vat for
=
the
dry lining?
>From that, you could probably guess about =A3200 for the partition?
The ceiling I can't help with.

Hi,
I have a room which is 5m x 5m x 4m high and is just blockwork at the
moment. Can anyone give me an idea on how much it will cost to have it
split in half (for Home Cinema room) with a 2.5m high stud partition. Also
=
a
ceiling at the 2.5m level with solid 'roof' able to accept items for
storage. A ceiling over the whole room at 4m height and dry lined
throughout.
I know it's tough to give me an idea on cost, but does anyone have an idea
of ballpark material cost for the above work?
Cheers,
M
