This idea sounds promising.  I bit like what you see at tube stations.
rows of pins on the lights and signs to stop birds landing on them.
I'm not sure how workable it would be, or whether it would cause TV
interference.

Thanks for the other ideas everyone.  I think they may be a tad
severe.  Birds muck is one thing, but dents due to falling birds
is another.  Maybe the electrified idea would cause even more muck
from the shock.

Anyone have any bright ideas re: moving the aerial.  I was hoping
to build something with say scafholding.  But maybe the weight would
all be a bit much.  Apolologies for the Ascii Art :-)
