Ahhh

guess I am losing it I thought the PIC would provide local control (shows
what I know;), if it is the Rabbit doing local control then you have my
vote
for 1 rabbit per 8 channels as who wants to lose all their lights if the
rabbit gets a bucket of water over it.

No way would I rely on a PC (running windoze linux or any other damn OS)for
something as critical as lighting.
