Argos do some very strong chrome wire framed shelving units (can't remember what page but in the current catalogue I thing they're at the bottom of a page on the left hand facing page) which a friend of mine is using for his AV kit ... not my cup of tea and my missus used the words "Buy one and I leave." But they are damn strong at at £50 for a shoulder high unit they're not at all bad value.

Mike,

Thanks for the info.  I had a look and they do look pretty good qualirty!   (Not sure about the feng shui tables though)

I was actually looking for something a bit more industrial (definitely metal)

If I find anything suitable ill let the group know.

Thanks

Kieran

Take a look at

http://www.standsunique.com/indexframe.html

I have the Av unit and a tower block and the finish is brilliant

And it improves the sound

I should imagine their CD etc holders are the same quality

Its another one of those darned off topic posts ;-)

Having been shopping on saturday for music I find that I have now competely
filled all remaining space on my shelves for both cd's and vinyl.  Given
there are some serious music buffs on this list anyone know of any good
quality modular music shelving out there?  If it could support dvds/vhs as
well that would be great.  I need space for about 600 cds and 1000+ lps but
obviously I am going to need more than that pretty soon ;-)

thanks in advance
