People,
In need of some more advice & info
I've been using Homeseer for a couple of weeks, but now I fancy the idea of a stand alone system instead...

It seems that Homevision looks to be the best choice(as suggested before), the question is if it can do the following...

Does anyone use HV phone with it?
if so can HV phone function as the answerphone?
does it need a PC to play the greeting message/ record the messages?

Does the phone/CID unit work over here?, or is the Meteor CID unit the only one that works over here?

Anyone got any recommendations for an alarm system that can interface with HV?
the manual suggests some that can communicate via serial link

I was hoping to avoid the need for a PC as I find them too noisy
(I was simply turning up the stereo/home cinema sound, but it seems to upset the neighbours!)

Anyone got any suggestions?
