Just thought I would run this by someone quickly.

Upstairs lighting is all home run to a junction box containing two 8
terminal connecters with each terminal labelled A1-H8.

All earth cables are wired into two terminals which have then been
wired together. Each switch cable neutral is wired into one terminal.
The live from each switch is wired to the appropriate live for the
rose (switched live?) with the other "live" from the roses all
connected together.

ASCII art to try and make the above make sense using one rose and
switch as example. Apologies for any inaccuracies in terminology.

A1 - H8 are the terminals

Switch
E -------------------

L ------

A1 B2 C3 D4 E5 F6 G7 H8 (Block 1)
(note cross connection of earth)
A1 B2 C3 D4 E5 F6 G7 H8 (Block 2)

SL---------

Rose

C3 is the connection between switch and rose for my example switch.
The box uses one terminal in this way on a per fitting basis.
D4 is the point at which all Switch Neutrals are wired together.
B2 is the point at which all rose "other" lives are connected
together.

A couple of metres from this junction box on the floow below in the
old airing cupboard is where I have node 0 and two new Consumer units
with banks of xD10 modules.

Looking at the above, by taking B2 out of this junction box and into
my consumer unit I have the switched live connection for the LD10.

I am hoping to take one wire into each unit and split the neutral
connector block into nuetral and live to feed the bank of modules.
Will one neutral and live connection wired into the apporpriate point
in this junction box be sufficient to provide the N/L connections for
the other LD10 connections or do I need to use two wires in a ring
formation?

It does look as though I can actually reroute all the wiring from the
junction box to my new consumer units at node 0 but want to try one
or two lights first before rewiring the whole lot hence the current
plan to leave it in circuit.

Thanks,

Mark.
