You're worried about nicking the name Wurlitzer from me ???

what about me if Mr Wurlitzer sees all the images I "borrowed"
from the
genuine Wurlitzer website. I'll just plead insanity on the grounds that I
am
mad about their products and it is really a tribute to a magnificent peice
of machinery.

I knew there was a reason I got the nickname Krazy Keith :-)

I did own a jukebox once about 15 years ago. A 1970's "Jupiter
80". Not a
patch on a Wurlitzer 1015 but it was mine. I bought it for twenty quid and
it had pride of place in my lounge. It had buttons 0-9 and A-E for
selecting
the songs but the E button wasnt used so I wired it to the coin mech to
give
me free credits.

I finally swapped it for a Settee and 2 armchairs. They have long since
gone
to the tip. The mate I gave it too still has it sitting in his lounge.

There was an Amusement arcade in town that had a really old 50's Wurlitzer
that was curved glass and chrome with fins etc just like 50's Cadillacs. It
sat there mostly unused for years and then about 2 years ago it
disappeared.
I would love to have that one.

As you have probably guessed I am a bit of a fan of Jukeboxes and Pinball
Machines. Not really bothered about Video Games though. Games like Mr.Do,
PacMan, DonkeyKong, Paperboy and Popeye reach or exceed the limits of my
coordination and gameplay skills. I'm impressed by the realism of the
latest
arcade games but they just dont have the charm of Jukeboxes/Pinball
Machines
where you see real machinery whirring and clicking.

Keith (just a sad techie at heart)

Hi Keith

Had a Look - very swish,

Apologies for using the Wurlitzer name for my server, didn't mean to copy,
It just seemed an obvious choice of name.
Its what we had in the common room at College. lots of years ago.

Cheers
Andrew
