Actually I dont think bulkhead was an official name.. It hasnt been
ratified
by the group as a whole. Maybe we need some groovy web vote for these
names?

Chaps,
Not being able to contribute in any more productive way than this, (not
being either a hardware guru like Keith, or a software guru like several of
you...)
One thing ocurred to me whilst following your discussions about designing
the control protocol, and that was this doesn't seem to have a name yet...
I see you seem to have pretty much settled on "Bulkhead" for the
overall
project name, but the protocol needs a name too!!
I've thought of a couple of suggestions to start the discussion going:
DAMP - Domestic Automation Management Protocol
HEMP - Home Environment Management Protocol
HUMP - Home Utility Management Protocol
HAND - Home Automation Network Datagram
CRAP - Controlled Remote Automation Protocol
HAN SOLO - Home Automation Network Signalling Over LOcal area
SWAP - Seriously Wife Annoying Protocol
CHAMPION - Complete Home Automation Management Protocol Implemented Over
Network
Come on you guys, - you must be able to think of some better ones than
these
- I just came up with all of these in about 10 minutes...
Paul G.
