I think the lighting controller is a great idea... but... I'm worried
that it's too ambitious for a first project. The original reason for
suggesting the LCD controller was because it was relatively easy in
terms of specs, hardware, functionality -- and look how much debate
it generated in those quarters despite being "simple". It would
also
form a corner stone for future projects. I'm a big fan of a Lego
approach to projects, and am a tad concerned that we might be trying
to run before we can walk.
