By the way Paul ... I have a bone to pick with you. (In fact I have a bone
to pick with you all.) I think I may have to depart and leave you all to
play on your ownsomes...

...all this toy-talk is not helping my cause. The missus gets back on
Tuesday (which is gonna be bad as you'll find in a moment) and even without
looking hard she's gonna fall over a threesome of air-con units!

Paul goes and tells me about these IDE cables that Scam are doing ... lo
and
behold they appear *NEXT DAY* on their own on the specials page and so I
order a pair of the short ones plus a pair of the long ones. Pah ... what's
£30? OK ... so a tenner P&P on a £30 order is too much ... well, better
order something else to make it seem better. Hmmmm ... 12 x DVD drive for
less than £40, I think we'll have one of those. Mmmmm ... RealMagic
Hollywood Plus card - and advertised as Region Free! £40 ... cool ... we'll
take one of those. You know what? It would be so much easier to build this
new PC with all new components rather than raiding my old machines for bits
... hmmmm ... Ahhhh ATI Dual Output video card ... got a good write up in
PC
Pro ... £80 ... hmmm, total of £202! Oh hell, just hit send and the missus
will never know ... I'll collect it from the depot as no-one is ever in
during the day so she'll never see it. Hmmm ... delivery expected Tuesday.
SWMBO arrives back at 9:30 on Tuesday morning from South Africa. I'm dead!

Phil
