The only way is to operate an approval system for new members and mail the
applicant for info before allowing them to subscribe, harsh I know but an
option if the spam does get to bad. I hate spam but now I just delete it
and
that's it over with, interestingly the original mail generated a hell of a
lot of off topic posts though, which is worse the spam or the thread? :o)

Neither of these email address appears on the list of members so they must
be able to by-pass that some way?
I really don't want to turn this into a moderate group with so many
messages
every day and my BT Crapnet email being so delayed most of the time.
