To be honest,,,heat wasn't really a problem....

Server racks generate most of the heat from the hard drives, and as
they can only take two each it wasn't that bad.
The system cooling is quite efficient.

My record so far is 36 of them in one rack,,,I needed t  leave space
for the KVM switchboxes, and a couple of 1U blanking to get rid of
excess cable into the sidepanels of the rack.

Very good machine, used mainly by ISP's, but they are a bit limited
in the upgrade area, but thats what comes of getting a dual processor
capable server in 1U of space.....still amazes me now...
