I don't know if there's a standard for tip being left or right channel,
but the wiring goes

Tip - Say Left Channel
Band next t  Tip - Say Right Channel
Band furthest from Tip - Earth/Screen/Shield

If you want the channels the other way round just swop the tip and band
next t  the tip connections.
