I have found the problem with my IR7243AH not responding t ON/OFF/DIM-/+ commands...

It does not like to be placed near TV (metal??) and/or RF cables, esp Sky Digital.

I found this out last night. I went upstairs t download files (Thanks again Phil/Mark!!!) t prono via PC, and I took the IR7243AH with me. It worked with my original CCFs 100%....

mmm..

So I took it down stairs again, placed on the floor, plugged in to same socket as I was experiencing problems, and it worked 100%....

mmm...

I placed back on TV stand, it then stopped resonding t ON/OFF/DIM-/+ commands via IR, buttons on top work fine. So I unplugged TV and Digi box from mains, still not working.

mmm..

Unplugged Sky cable/UHF Ariel/and bedroom feed and it worked 50% of the time.
If I move it away from TV, it works 100% of time.

Why is this IR device sensitive t Sky/RF cables?? My sky is cable is CT100, but UHF is cheapo brown stuff.

Can the others who had problems try moving their IR7243AH, and someone who does not have a problem move it near their unplugged TV and/or RF cables??? This may explain why some people have managed to get this device to work in some mains sockets and not others??

Has anyone had any luck with their IR7243AH's using the CCF that Mark put up
on the files area for me?

Phil
