Dan,

I'd be surprised if even screened cable would be good enough for a run at
line-level of more than a couple of meters. If you think about pro audio,
then things tend t be balanced, or speaker-level!

Don't consider running non-balanced audio signals over CAT5.

While there are other systems t d this apart from Keith's, I've not met
any of them that come close in price/performance. The only two I'd touch
are
KAT5, and Linn Knekt. Linn Knekt is better, in terms of integration and
functionality, but at 10 times the price of KAT5. I would say that the
sound
quality of the two systems is comparable, but I've never done a blind A/B,
only heard them separately.

If you want t borrow my pair of KAT5 units t try, you're welcome!

before someone shouts KAT5.... :-)

I am planning the Final Cabling of my house, and as part of this I
want t run a Line Out Audio Feed from Node Zero t the Stereo in the
bedroom...

Can I do this over Cat 5 or should I just use Screened Audio cable?

Also I am about t have a new Aerial installed as the one on the roof
is useless, I am going t put the cabling in and then find someone t
go up the ladder on the outside and d the honours on the roof, is
CT100 ok for this (will be moving the sky dish up there t o, away
from the front of the house) So will have t d a dual run upt it
and it makes sence to use the same cable.

Thanks

Daniel
