Rather
than trying t get use 'learned' IR, it strikes me that the best approach
would
be t use iRDA 'natively'.
What
about having a RS232 - IRDA 'adapter'? Apparently, Elektor Electronics had
such
a project in Nov. 96. Or it may be possible t use something
from
JeyEye or similar.
If it
works, you should only have t 'learn' serial data rather than awkward IR
waveforms.
Steve
I'm
now very disappointed after doing a lot of reading of different threads on
this subject.
It
would appear that NTL box I have uses IRDA instead of standard IR - so
Pront
cannot learn it either.
Without HomeVision making a change t handle IRDA - which I think is
doubtful, it looks bad.
The
only other option I thought of was trying t use the RS232 which is marked
as
"for service only" - I have sent an email t a contact at Pace t enquire
about this.
Graham
Can
Pront learn it Graham ?

Is

learn
the IR from the supplied remote?
Cheers
