Darren called round last night with his digital camera so here are a few
pics...
The finished patch panels (2 x 32 ports) - a Doxey work of art! Look at
the
"commoned" row on the bottom left for the phones. This just
leaves the
"control" cables (electric curtains, IR etc) that will be
terminated in
Krone blocks.

The modified Clipsal switches Keith made are in situ (the two at the
bottom
of this pic). As you can see he's inserted LEDs into the tips that show
if
the heating is on upstairs and downstairs. These are low voltage
switches
connected t HomeVision. The mains relays are ready to be attached t
the
existing heating controller later today (more pictures t follow).

We bought a 19" rack case in M*****s t mount HomeVision in. Here's
the
expansion board in place (with mountings already in for another one on
the
right if I ever need one). HomeVision will be mounted in the centre with
a
cut-out on the front panel t show it's front (more pictures t follow
when
it's completed).

At last - soldered into place - the phon faceplate (lovingly created
for me
by James Hoye) for the sub-woofer.

Our lovely built in AV furniture (NOT!) Beside Dell Digital Audio
Receiver
is the first "non-terminated" KAT5 unit. This is providing the (7
foot)
Windows desktop you can see from the ShowShifter PC in the study
upstairs.
>From here it heads back out to the patch panel and upstairs into the
bedroom.
(Note the RF-IR links - oh the shame of it!)

The Doxey dude leaves for home tomorrow :-(
THANKS KEITH!!!!!
