They changed the Ts & Cs recently in preperation for the "you're doing more hours than this number we just plucked out of the air, therefore you're account is being withdrawn" type approach.

AFAICR the new conditions say things like you can't run auto reconnect programs, you can't have it connected when you're not using it etc. Plus they reinstated the 2 hour kick, with I think some posibilities of shorter kicks at peak times :-(

You should be able to view the Ts & Cs on the site, but the summary is - you can connect whenever you want for up to 2 hours, but setting your computer up to stay connected for 24hours (-12 minutes for redialling time ;->) ist verboten.

I've been using the service for ages, and its OK with the exception of mail server outages (not happening that often at the moment touch wood) and DNS server outages (again touch wood). I'd like ADSL, but the cost is still a little too silly - IOMart say "Yeah, we expect you to give us 250 quid, then we'll get BT t tell if they definitely can install at your location, then if they can't we'll refund the money......." - I don't like that approach much!

Anyone know what the present situation is with BT 24/7 internet

BT are trying t tell me it is true 24/7 but I believe other people have found this not t be the case

Anyone know what the latest situation is ?

Thanks in advance
