By the way ... I believe that the free installation from BADA dealers doesn't extend t installing, setting up and converging CRT projectors as that's sometimes several days work and can involve some building/structural work.

For that t be done professionally expect t pay in the region of £500 - £1,500...

We had some friends round for a barbecue on Saturday (actually friends of my brother's, but I know them well). One of them asked me t fire up the Plasma for a demo. I put Gladiator on just to show him. We ended up watching the entire film (6 people wandered in at various stages and all sat down), with his son very happy, as he has caved in and is going t install a Home Cinema at home.

Infectious isn't it?

One piece of advice with this stuff, do your homework, and find a dealer who's advice you trust. Stick with him. Shopping around for the cheapest price is a false economy, especially with speakers where your room and their placement will affect the sound as much as anything else. A BADA member will offer the following:

Fully furnished demonstration rooms (with acoustics similar t domestic rooms)
14 day home exchange - so when it doesn't work in your environment they'll swap it
Free extended warranty
Free installation (Phil will tell you that is really important with projectors)

Once you start getting into nutter territory (like me) they tend t lend you kit you are interested in for a couple of weeks so you can try it at home before you buy.

I've been going t the same place for 15 years, and I know Phil actually drives up to Glasgow for his stuff!

Tim.

A nice trip out today, stopping at Kenneth's for 5 minutes(actually more than 45), has now convinced me "I WANT A PROJECTION SYSTEM....in fact the works"

The selling point was the intro to T2 which definitely shook... even swmbo's stern words as i staggered back t the car could not penetrate my skull.

It is intended t extend our house soon, with the addition of a spare/guest/family room...I am sure if the screen can be retracted out of site and the system "hidden", it may be possible to get it past swmbo control, the only trouble is getting the extra k's past The Bank of SWMBO...ideas on a post card...the smile is only now beginning t fade and that was 3pm
