Sums it up really, the council probably
installed
the cheapest, crappiest alarms they could, n training for the users and no
maintenance then when they keep going off no one uses them, another waste
of
money and a blot on systems which d work and the companies who install
them.
A reliable audible alarm is far better than
non at
all, they should not give false alarms if installed, maintained and used
correctly. One thing is for sure if you are broken int the burglar will
not
wait around with the alarm going off and you won't come home t find
someone in
the house as you walk in. A nice loud sounder inside as well as the one
outside
is a must.
I wonder how many people who install their own
systems actually carry out any maintenance or even know how
to?

Failure
-- Me too. Andrew @ comfort seemed t
think it strange that i haven't got a siren connected but the council
fitted
free alarms to 90% of the properties opposite. No body takes the slightest
notice of sirens unless they repeat long enough and then residents took it
upon themselve to silence it by knocking the bell box completely off the
wall.
Steve.
I
only have comfort calling me on the mobile.
