a while ago a friend of mine was having a house built

they looked int  x10, and the company they were going t  deal with
recommended switch controllers, which may or may not have been
ld10/ld11 units

my friend showed me their quote, and the paper work, which mentioned
an air gap between the units, presumably t  avoid overheating

i have checked on the web, but can find nothing about an air gap
being required between ld10/ld11 units.

any electricians got any ideas as t  whether ld10/ld11 units
postioned next t  each other in a conusmer unit could overheat, and
perhaps have cuased the problem you had
