with regards location for the outside temperature sensor it depends on a
couple of things the main one being what you are trying t  measure. A lot
of
people who are serious about measuring outside temperature build little
pagodas which allow air t  circulate but do not allow direct wind (chill
factor) or direct sun. Not sure of the terminology but I believe this is
the
temperature they quote on met office reports.
