Get some experience (come and hear it here if you like, including how it sounds through a DDAR) then decide for yourself. There are differences, but nothing compared t quality dfferences between broadcast TV and VHS (have you ever recorded something and then watched it?). High bitrate MP3 is good, very good and the convenience of having everything on hard disk is something you really have to experience (particularly if you have a home network and DDAR type devices). DO NOT believe everything you hear unless it is with your own ears.

Regards

Graham
