While I cannot give you any guidelines on which one t  buy, I can tell you
not t  but "Smart Homes for Dummies" it's crap. There is nothing
in it that
you won't learn from lurking on this list, reading the archives &
asking a
few questions.

My copy is beginning to look out of date, and is decidedly US biased in
terms
of the products it mentions.
