I know what Brian means, when you spend around a grand getting the thing in
the air, and it is always only one mistake away from oblivion, it is a
great
way of generating adrenaline. You have to bear in mind that because you are
outside the heli when it is flying towards you stick movements are
reversed - left stick makes it go right etc. I'm currently trying to get to
grips with inverted hovering which is even more complicated :) Pilots who
fly both full size and models readily admit that the models are more
difficult.
We'll have to arrange a visit next time I'm scheduled to fly at the club
Phil. Don't bring your wallet, they have a shop on site!
