From
what others have said, the portable units are not that good especially at
cooling a room that is already hot. They are OK if the room is cool and you
want
to keep it that way as the external temperature rises. I have not yet tried
my
portable unit, but my split unit will certainly cool a hot room to below
24C if
necessary.
