Not much help but I have a 1.2GHz Athlon running W2K Server with an ATI AIW
Radeon 32MB Video card and it runs no problem, I have it attached to the TV
and an ASEL video switcher with CCTV cameras connected.
Works a treat (not a cheap card though, I suppose you get what you pay for)
Not quite sure what you mean by pre-selecting the Sky channel, but I (for
the fun of it) created a macro that used an IR emitter on a wall and
pointing to the TV etc. to select the Video & Sky box & TV to
record
important things, like Alley McBeal, X-Files, that sort of thing. I do not
do this now as once I was watching a recorded program and all of a sudden
the macro kicked in and started recording over the program I
"was" watching!
not as clever as I thought I was!
