...when PC World sell the same stuff.

Just a thought that occurred to me while browsing PC World at lunchtime -
they sell the same X-10 kits that Homebase are selling off cheap, though
obviously it's rather more expensive.

However, they do display 'Never beaten on price' stickers all over the
place.

So, here's a suggestion (though I haven't tried it yet). Buy the stuff from
PC World and make them price-match! They may insist that your local
Homebase
has some in stock (it's often the way), so it might be worth checking
first.

For example, the PC Control kit is £99.99 in PC World and £25.99 (or is it
£29.99?) in Homebase. You won't get it any cheaper, but it makes you feel
good to get them to knock £70-odd off their ticket price - and it means
there's more stuff left in Homebase so we can do it again!!

Gotta be worth a try, that one!
