I'm just estimating t get t 800w but in my living room the running time is about 9-12 minutes on and then about 3 minutes off when the temperature has stabilised. Therefore in my living room you're looking at a duty cycle of about 80% hence I reckon mine is averaging out at about 800w. The single unit in Edwards room just runs continuously...

When calculating eunning cost you need t bear in mind that although when running 24/7 the internal fans runs continuously. The pump and external fan do not. (assuming your not trying t cool a concert hall) As they cut out when desired temp is reached.

Whilst the cooling capacity is 2600Kw the cooling consumption is 1060kw (which is a max and will assuming all fans & pumps running)

There for the 800 and something mentioned is way OTT

Good point :)

Another post just made me wonder about the cost of 24/7 since it
would work out quite expensive running costs. Maybe I should return
one of those "your home has been selected for solar power testing"
mailshots (that are so not targetted) or something :)
