Re: Gigavideo and Sky Dig

Title: Re: [ukha_d] Gigavideo and Sky Dig
Yep, one of the NTL Boxes is IRDA and basicallt very few IR learners or repeaters work with it. In fact NO ir learners that I am aware of. and I know of no IR remote with the inbuilt codes either.
There are two (at least) specs for IRDA,  1.0 was much slower and I think did work with some kit but the newer faster version is way above the max sampling speed that these learners can accomodate. Can't remember if this is 2.0 or 1.1.
Tivo have had t make a device that converts RC5 (I think) t IRDA t get them t work with their box - or people have downgraded to a different Pace box that uses more normal encoding.

The manual states is doesnt like IRDA devices (ie Digiboxes)

Anyone had any problems with this ?
