It shuts off the Chiller when it reaches the correct temperature so it
doesnt run continuously althought the blower fan does.

Mine is currently being switched on a teatime as my PC is in the bedroom so
I spent much of the evening up there ant the room is then nicely cooled for
bedtime. When I get up at 05:45 I turn the Aircon Off manually.

Hopefully with the way temperatures seem t be increasing there will be an
increase in the availability of Aircon and a reduction in price due t
higher volumes. We may then be able t get "proper" installable
Aircon that
we could control with HA.

Has anyone looked at what is available in the US ?

Keith

Doesn't mean much to me either way unfortunately but if automating
the unit is not an option, I guess it has t be on pretty much 24/7.
How badly is this likely to affect the unit?

For the last few years I have had the window open and a fan on
throughout the night (timing controlled by X10 from the PC
with "local" control on a mini timer) all year t get the bedroom
cold enough to comfortably sleep in so I am likely to use the unit
during the winter as well.

Mark.
