If the TV can be put on standby it is obviously remote control so why are you turning it off with an AM ?
If its to save the power it uses on standby you are probably wasting your time because the module will use s me power itself
I have my kitchen TV on an AM so that I can kill it with my power down and going out macros. I don't have any IR distribution, so its easier to have the pronto send the IR power off t the main TV, amp etc, then X10 t deal with sending all units off after 10 -20 mins :-)

The portable in my kitchen always reverts to standby after power loss.... which means I can't turn it on with an AM at all...!
