Hi Dave

I would consider the all house code IR to X10 thingy rather than the
standard single house code, 16 units one. Having the all house code one I
now find lots of uses for the extra codes like turning on the watering,
setting the heating or boosting it as well as all the usual lights and
appliances. I guess all I am saying is think longer term.

Ian (1MB pronto and loves it)

p.s. one advantage of the docking station is you can have the backlight and
LCD on for longer which is nice. Only a small point but.....

I am looking to purchase one of those nice snazzy LCD programable
remotes...

Either the RC5000i from Marantz or the TSU2000 from Philips.

Has anyone used either of them and can give me a few pointers to why they
like their model.

I have read the review on Marks site, but what I also want to know is how
compatible are they. I have seen quite a few files for the Pronto but very
few for the RC5000i.

I am also going to by an IR to X10 interface at the same time form Lets
Automate. The RC5000i looks like a great bargain as I can get it, the
docking station included and the IR-X10 for the same price as the Pronto
and docking station only.

Regards for now
Dave...
