Suggestions for posting

Guys,

I might be labouring the point but one last thing springs to mind.  Do you
think we should have a regularly posted "suggestions for posting"
message?

We could decide on a few key areas that everyone agrees are appropriate for
posting here and detail them for those of us who forget and new people to
the group.  Its not draconian, hence the "suggestions" bit ;-)

Heres a few for starters:

i. Remove all irrelevant quoting from previous messages (including
signatures etc)
ii. All off-topic posts are given an OT in the subject field.
iii. Responses to people selling stuff should be sent privately.  Im as bad
as this as everyone but I am sure we dont all want to know whether i want a
fingerprint reader or not ;-)
iv. Try and avoid one line responses ala <aol mode>
