Re: [OT]'ish - Genies' Free Sim Offer

Does the phone not send an AT command when it receives the message?

I have a Siemens TC35 at home (A standalone modem/phone thingy) and it sends AT commands when a message is received.

I am trying to figure a way of receiving these in Homeseer or an external programme tied int homeseer.

Yes you can. Was done way back when the Nokia 2140 was the in thing.

You could now even use one of the mobile phones units on an ISA/PCI card

Can you do this ??? ie have a mobile phone permanently connected to a PC that will transfer any SMS text messages it receives to the PC ? & vv ? It would be ideal way t control a HA setup or receive alarm / status messages.

Currently I can send SMS from my PC but not receive it so I'm half way there.
