Well, bless my trousers! - it's amazing isn't it, - how things work when
you
follow the instructions!!
I got the regulated PSU, (had t get it from M***ins, as Argos didn't have
any stock, - when do they ever?), so £14.99 instead of £9.99 for the same
lump...
And boy what a lump! - this thing is huge! - it's the size (and weight) of
a
housebrick! Still, I noticed M***ins had some much smalled fixed voltage
regulated PSU's, so now that I know it works perfectly, I'll probably get
one of the smaller ones for this, and keep this lump on the bench as a
general use PSU...
- Had t laugh as well, - when I was in there, the droid answered the phone
with the greeting "Good afternoon, Maplin Electronics"....
Still, all's well that ends well, - happy t report that with a decent PSU
stuck on it, the transmitter is working perfectly.
