What you want Mark, is Mailman. That does all sorts of stuff for mailing
lists, including mail<->news gatewaying.

The only thing it's missing is a search facility, it only produces archives
on a web page, but HTDig can do that easily.

Trouble is that would bean moving the list off yahoo, which is something
that
we (as a group) weren't keen on not too long ago.

I don't think using it t  flood c.h.a would do our cause t  get our own
newsgroup any good at all though, but might be of use t  us t  mirror posts
between the two groups, and would solve problems for people like me wh
prefer t  mail over newsgroups.
