Anything you use other than the supplied Home Control software will generally need you t leave your PC on all the time ... even Home Control really needs this to ensure functionality. My suggestions would be t look at HomeSeer but save up for a HomeVision!

Subject: [ukha_d] Software

Hi Group

I have just entered the home automation game by buying 2x LM12U's ; 1x AM12U; 1x CM11U, 1x TM12U; 1x HR10.  I got them at homebase as this seemed the cheapest option upon reading the previous weeks mailings.  I would now like t know what the group feel about SOFTWARE. At the moment I am using Home Control as this came with a kit that I bought but I have tried HAL2000 but it seems to only work when the computer is on and can't update the CM11 memory!?!
I know there is other software out there and would just like t know what the group thinks is the best software. (I must admit that I do like HAL's voice capabilities)

Thanks in advance

Pedro de Oliveira
