IRCDear Kenneth,
Me and my friend David Adams are currently working on a system called C=
hat Monkey, under the name Enzyme Systems. It uses winsock OCX but
requires=
a server program on a machine so we would need to get either someone with =
a always-on connection, take a chance and post IP addresses for servers in
=
a DUN session, or have a multi-server connection so that if one goes down
i=
t is replicated to the others to keep it running until the server comes
bac=
k online and sends it's IP to the other servers, which will in turn send
it=
to the clients wh will re-open their channel with the lost-now-found serv=
er.

Yours Sincerely,

Lee Edward Causier.

Mark,

Can we please hold a vote using the forum on a an IRC format, we really d=
o need to get this sorted as it would make life a lot easier for everyone
i=
nvolved and we need a common platform. There has been much talk of this
and=
so far nothing has come of it and you would think that a bright bunch like=
us could set up a stupid chat area without breaking int cold sweats J

FWIW, I really don=92t care what format we use just so long as we pick on=
e! My vote is for using the Yahoo Chat on the forum as is. It=92s easy,
the=
re and already for a lot of the chit-chat that takes place.

My only fear is that a lot of info that is informative and interesting ma=
y be lost in a chat area as opposed to being able to be read by all
members=
at their leisure. Personally I don=92t have a problem with the huge amount=
of mail as much of it is entertaining and/or helpful, even if it does cost=
me money, but I can understand that some may well be put off by it.

We could also set up a =93Philchat=94 on an IRC server somewhere J with t=
he age old, some people may find this offensive or a parental advisory
warn=
ing J)

Just an opinion of course!

K.
