How long is a piece of string?

Depends on the size of the pulley that is driving the cord and how wide
your
windows are.

If you have a 4" diameter pulley then each revolution will move the
cord 1
foot. My 3 foot wide window would be fully open in 1.5 revs. If the motor
does 10RPM then the curtains are either open or closed.

If you have a 1" diameter pulley then 1 rev = 3" travel. Gear
down t 1 rpm
and you get 3" per second etc.

If you have windows 10 feet wide then each curtain has to move 60".
How long
do you want it t take for a full open/close.

I have some industrial size curtain motors that I "rescued" from
the skip. I
cant use then at the moment unless I want digital curtains (open or closed
but nothing in-between) but on the original 20 foot wide windows they were
fine :-(
