On the HP/C Pro the shortcut is "\windows\async.asy" and fount
as a
shortcut "\start\programs\activesync"
On the PocketPC it appears to be "\windows\remnet.exe" and fount
as a
shortcut "\start\programs\connections"
I have played with this on the H/PC Pro and the Ethernet option does not
appear until you have both Installed the Ethernet drivers (and warm booted)
and Sync'd with serial. I have been unable to try the PocketPC as I do not
yet have a CF Ethernet card for the E115. (Anyhow, still trying to decide
whether the CF clot should get Ethernet or IBM Microdrive. Hmmmm....).

Jon

Got my Epod last night. Wow. The Wife is already saying "can we get
any
more?". This may have paved the way for me just snapping up any future
bargain.. :)
After some mucking around I think the EPOD is missing a key component of
Microsoft's Active sync.
I have had a look at the various sites about syncing over Ethernet (my
preferred option by a >long< shot) and they all describe launching
Activesync on the PocketPC, and setting the connect method as TCP/IP and
the
"connect to" dialog as the hostname to sync with.
None of the executeables in the eopd have those dialogs.
does anyone have a jornada or simialr beast to have a rummage through and
find the activesync config exe?
I'll post to the board, but I reckon there are more helpful bods in here!
Ian.
