Two different things I think.

iPAQ is very portable.  It will fit inside a shirt pocket (without any of
the external stuff).  It's something you would carry everywhere with you.
It's fast and has a very bright display (although it's small so you
wouldn't
be surfing "normal" websites with it).

Epod is bigger, heavier and slower but it has a decent res (640x480).  I
envisage using mine either in AV room or Kitchen running Terminal Server so
I can surf and have ACE client running along with other useful things like
DigiGuide.
