Guys,
I have lots of X10, controlled with a CM12U - either with the bundled App,
or some baby PERL that allows me to change the state of any device from any
web browser in the hour.
I've also got stuff like:
- X-10 PIR detects motion, sends RF message (H1 ON from memory)
-> X-10 RF receiver pushes said message onto the mains
-> CM-12U takes message, and runs fast macro that brightens light C3 by
30%
from current state
- X-10 PIR detects "no more motion", sends RF message (H1 OFF
from memory)
-> X-10 RF receiver pushes said message onto the mains
-> CM-12U takes message, and runs fast macro that dims light C3 by 30%
from
current state
The problem is, the X-10 PIR sometimes sends more than one
"detected"
without a "no more" between them, so the light goes up to 30%,
then 60%,
then 90%, then 100% over the space of a few minutes, and then, when I leave
the room, only goes back down to 70%. I can't "DIM TO 0%" in a
CM12 Macro
(or can't work out how to), and the modules don't have memory dim, so I can
"off" them and them brighten just to 30%.
In an ideal world, the first macro would have a "dim up to 30%, and
set the
"running on motion" flag on", and then not re-brighten as
long as the flag
was set. Similarly the second, would dim back down, and unset the flag.
I understand that HomeVision would allow me to do this?
1: Is my understanding correct?
2: What else would HV do for me compared to a CM12 and a Pronto? =A3500's a
lot of money just for that bit of functionality.
Regards,
Mark
