Steve,

The Epod (probably) has just some simple bootstrap code in a rom that says
"look here to boot" - Think of it like NT - Have you ever tried
to boot
from a floppy without NTLDR on it? I t just wont boot.

I dont understand the risks that seem to be implied. Anyone explain ?

I assume as with any computer the cant damage the hardware via software ?
